The Principal Delivering Division of Windows of Green Africa Limited (WGA)

Green Infrastructure & Construction

The Green Infrastructure & Construction Division converts our group’s design vision and technical capability into delivered assets on the ground. We build systems before structures—combining climate-resilient civil engineering with ecological restoration to deliver infrastructure that survives its design life in a changing climate.

Backed by over 20 years of group experience through Etoile General Contractor PLC and View Unlimited Green Development Consultant, this division is fully established, operational, and headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Core Technical Disciplines

We address the most critical infrastructure challenges facing East Africa: water management, flood risk, drainage failure, and urban degradation.

River & Watershed Engineering

We treat rivers as complete systems—connecting catchments, channels, floodplains, and communities.

  • River basin master planning and catchment characterization.

  • River training, bank protection, revetments, and scour control.

  • Floodplain reconnection, levees, and off-channel storage.

  • Sediment management, desilting, and soil conservation works.

East African Basin Protection Program

The East African Strategic Basin Protection Program establishes resilient river corridors across multi-jurisdictional watershed boundaries. At peak deployment, over 2,200 craft professionals coordinated gabion retaining structures, stepped weirs, and native riverbank re-vegetation, safeguarding agricultural lowlands and municipal intakes against 1-in-100-year storm hydrographs.

Urban Drainage & Stormwater Systems

Preventing urban flooding and infrastructure washout through complete system design—from at-source control to verified outfalls.

  • Catchment-wide stormwater master planning.

  • Piped drainage networks, open channels, and culvert crossings.

  • Pump stations, rising mains, and retention basins.

  • Sponge-city retrofit and Low-Impact Development (LID) integrations.

Engineering Nature to Attenuate Floods & Restore Natural Capital

Green infrastructure is not mere landscaping—it is precision civil hydraulic engineering executed with natural materials. We calibrate biological filter beds, bio-swales, and littoral zones to buffer violent storm flows while purifying municipal runoff.

  • Hydraulic residence time (HRT) calibration and multi-cell water-balance modeling. River training, bank protection, revetments, and scour control.

  • Lake dredging, mechanized silt trap installation, and living shoreline stabilization

  • Constructed subsurface and surface flow treatment wetlands with indigenous macrophytes

Turning Infrastructure Costs into Revenue-Generating Urban Assets

Integrating flood protection with high-value public spaces. By embedding multi-tiered flood protection into prime urban waterfronts, WGA transforms dangerous, neglected flood zones into vibrant civic destinations, commercial promenades, and resilient recreational landmarks.

  • Integrated flood defense seawalls, stepped revetments, and elevated public promenades

  • Conversion of concrete drainage ditches into scenic, multifunctional urban eco-corridors

  • Continuous pedestrian greenways, non-motorized mobility networks, and civic plazas

  • Water-edge ecological bio-restoration and urban microclimate cooling systems
